Jason Wood was elected to the House of Representatives for La Trobe in 2004 - 2010 and was re-elected in 2016.
Jason held the position of Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Justice and Public Security from 22 September 2008 to 14 September 2010.
Jason was sworn in as the Assistant Minister for Customs, Community Safety and Multicultural Affairs on 29 May 2019.
Prior to entering politics, Jason worked as a Police officer with Victorian Police from 1988-2004, was a Detective with the Organised Crime Squad from 1990-2000 and a Senior Sergeant with the Counter Terrorism coordination Unit in 2003-2004.
Jason’s qualifications include a Masters in Innovation Service Management and a thesis on Counter Terrorism.
